Zhela Bennett, MA, LPC

 Zhela (SHELL-luh) Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, trained EMDR clinician, and a couples counseling practitioner of the Gottman Method. Her journey in counseling is driven by a deep commitment to guiding individuals and couples toward emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. She is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist that specializes in working with trauma.

Her work with adults also includes experience in a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, career indecision, occupational difficulties, and more. She brings her passion and skills for personal, team, and career development to empower people to discover their purpose and joyfully and wholly live it out through meaningful work and relationships.  Beyond her formal qualifications, her background in hospitality, business, HR, and training enriches her holistic approach to counseling.

Grounded in evidence-based practices and biblical principles, Zhela brings a specialized expertise to help individuals and couples navigate the complexities of trauma and suffering. Her training as an EMDR clinician further equips her to address the profound impact of overwhelming experiences on mental and emotional health. Known for her warm, compassionate nature, she creates a safe and nurturing space for healing, where clients can explore and express their pain and desires without judgment. She endeavors to be attuned to the unique situation of each individual and couple, recognizing the importance of tailoring therapy to their specific needs, experiences, and circumstances. She is committed to providing hope, cultivating healing, and restoring trust, purpose, rest, and fulfillment in relationships.

Zhela Bennett, M.A., LPC  received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Her love for travel and diverse experiences adds a rich layer to her counseling, embracing the uniqueness of each journey. As a self-proclaimed foodie, she cherishes sharing culinary delights with her friends and family, especially deep theological conversations and witty jokes over Red Eye coffees with her husband.
